SynChess is a free multiplayer chess game with 16 tables per channel. Players take part on as many boards as they like, or just watch. Comes with a bot opponent with variable brain capacity. Includes instant replay and the ability to clone a Plateau to a new table to handle "what if" situations. You can design your own Plateau and piece art if you like. Users earn normal chess ratings (non-binding!)

This game is part of the Synthetic Reality "Arcadia" family of Jeux. (http://www.synthetic-reality.com/arcadia.htm) Players add additional channels at will using the integrated MIX server. Arcadia itself provides all Gestion de réseaux support, in addition to text chat, voice chat, web browsing, and a parallel existence 'park' environment for serenity, duck-feeding, and paintball while you wait for other players to show up.
